The Stanford Health Care's Center for Educational and Professional Development (CEPD) primarily supports the organization's structural empowerment programs which are aligned to SHC's commitment to foster lifelong learning. Additionally, the CEPD supports programs that substantiate nursing and interprofessionals’ cultivation of a vigorous and growing culture of excellence in professional practice which is directly translated through our patient care.
Currently, the CEPD provides oversight to robust programs that are divided into two main areas, Clinical Education and Professional Development.

The SHC Professional Nursing Development Programs (PNDP) promotes the life-long pursuit of expertise of the clinical nurse. SHC recognizes and rewards nurses who strive for excellence in the delivery of the highest quality of patient care, while demonstrating commitment to the profession of nursing.
